Details of the Job/Internship

OSTTRA is hiring a Legal Counsel for its Gurgaon office to handle a broad range of corporate, commercial, regulatory, privacy, and transactional legal matters. The role involves working closely with internal teams and reporting to the lead lawyer in India while collaborating with global colleagues.

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, including procurement, real estate, software licenses, services, and NDAs.
• Support sales and business teams globally with legal advice and innovative solutions.
• Advise internal clients on legal risks across customer relationships and product initiatives.
• Assist with post-trade service projects, client onboarding, and regulatory compliance.
• Provide or oversee company secretarial support globally.
• Liaise with business and support divisions including IT, Tax, Compliance, Finance, Risk, and Operations.
• Engage and manage outside counsel.
• Collaborate with legal teams across multiple regions including UK, US, India, Singapore, Sweden, and Israel.
• Work on commercial and corporate legal matters with a focus on technology and information-related contracts.

Eligibility

• Qualified lawyer with a strong academic legal background.
• 3 to 6 years of experience in-house and/or in a large law firm in transactional practice.
• Excellent command of English (written and spoken).
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Experience with commercial, technology, or financial services contracts is desirable.
• Knowledge of data protection, intellectual property, and commercial law preferred.

Salary/Stipend
