Details of the Job/Internship

Panorama Studios International Ltd is looking for a candidate for the position of legal Counsel.

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including production agreements, distribution deals, and talent contracts.
• Provide legal advice and support to various departments, including production, finance, and marketing.
• Manage legal disputes and coordinate with external counsel as needed.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including intellectual property and labor laws.
• Develop and implement company policies and procedures to safeguard legal interests and promote best practices.
• Oversee intellectual property matters, including copyright, trademark, and creative title registration.
• Handle legal aspects of film financing, co-productions, and distribution rights.
• Advise on guild and union agreements (e.g., SAG-AFTRA, WGA, DGA) and ensure compliance with their requirements.
• Manage rights clearance for music, footage, and other third-party content used in productions.
• Provide guidance on digital rights management and emerging issues in film and media law.

Eligibility

• Degree from an accredited law school.
• Minimum of 4-6 years of legal experience, with significant experience in the film or entertainment industry.
• Proven experience in drafting and negotiating complex contracts.
• Strong understanding of intellectual property law, including copyright and trademark registration.
• Experience with creative title registration and rights clearance processes.
• Familiarity with guild and union agreements relevant to the film industry.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• High level of professionalism and attention to detail.

Salary/Stipend
