Details of the Job/Internship
Payoneer is hiring a Commercial Legal Counsel with 3–5 years of experience to join their global Legal team in Gurugram.
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide expert legal and commercial advice on global transactions.
- Draft, negotiate, and review diverse commercial contracts, including Master Service Agreements (MSAs), SaaS agreements, and partnership contracts.
- Partner with Procurement and business teams to provide risk guidance and align legal efforts with strategic objectives.
- Support dispute resolution and perform business risk assessments.
- Develop and maintain scalable legal processes, including the improvement of standard form templates.
- Conduct internal legal training and enablement sessions for stakeholders.
- Contribute to the legal infrastructure required for new product launches and market expansion.
- Stay updated on evolving laws, regulations, and industry guidance impacting commercial agreements.
Eligibility
- Educational Qualification: Law degree (LLB or JD) from a leading academic institution; active bar membership is required.
- Professional Experience: 3–5 years of relevant experience at a global organization or leading law firm.
- Skills: Strong commercial/business orientation with outstanding interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Language: Excellent professional English communication and drafting abilities.
- Preferred: Knowledge of data protection regulations and experience in financial services, payments, or global workforce solutions.
