Details of the Job/Internship

PharmaACE is hiring a Legal Counsel to join its Pune office. The role serves as the single point of contact for all legal matters relating to PharmaACE India. The position involves advising on legal risks, supporting strategic business initiatives, overseeing compliance with Indian laws, and providing legal and commercial guidance on corporate, employment, contracting, leasing, and other commercial matters. The role also includes close collaboration with the leadership team and acting as an escalation point for legal issues.

Role and Responsibilities

• Acting as the single point of contact for all legal matters.
• Evaluating legal risks and advising on strategic business initiatives.
• Providing legal advice and business insight on corporate matters, employment law issues, contracts, leases, and commercial negotiations.
• Collaborating with the leadership team on organisational development and projects.
• Assessing and mitigating legal and compliance risks under Indian laws.
• Overseeing all legal compliance matters for PharmaACE India operations.
• Advising and supporting the leadership team and acting as an escalation point for legal issues in India.

Eligibility

• Law degree (LLB) from a top-tier university with a strong academic record.
• Certification in corporate secretarial practice or post-graduation in labour law is preferable.
• 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably with a multinational company supporting global business operations.
• In-depth knowledge of compliance activities and filings under central and state laws in India.
• Expertise in Indian employment laws is an added advantage.
• Strong team management skills.
• Strong spoken and written English proficiency.

Salary/Stipend
