Details of the Job/Internship
PolyPeptide Group AG is hiring an In-House Legal Counsel with 5+ years of post-qualification experience to join its global Legal and Compliance team, with responsibilities based in India.
Role and Responsibilities
- Review, draft, and negotiate confidentiality and business agreements across the Group.
- Support review of quality agreements and ensure alignment with global legal policies.
- Oversee contract lifecycle management, workflows, renewals, and compliance with procedures.
- Conduct virtual training sessions on contracting standards.
- Act as Company Secretary for the Indian subsidiary, supporting board and shareholder resolutions and filings.
- Coordinate with external counsel and company secretaries across India, the EU, and the US.
- Support annual corporate compliance obligations and maintain centralised corporate records.
- Assist with preparation and execution of board and shareholder meetings, including the AGM of the Swiss-listed parent.
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments in India relevant to the business.
- Support internal audits, compliance reviews, ESG initiatives, and global legal policy implementation.
Eligibility
- LL.M. with specialisation in corporate law.
- 5+ years of post-qualification experience in corporate or commercial law with international exposure.
- Experience in an international law firm or as in-house counsel, preferably in life sciences or manufacturing.
- Strong contract drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with contract management systems.
- Strong command of business English; knowledge of German or French is an advantage.
Salary/Stipend
