Details of the Job/Internship

PUMA is seeking a Legal Counsel for their legal team.

Role and Responsibilities

• The Candidate should be able to collaborate closely with the manager of Legal concerning legal matters relating to litigation, real estate and retail.
• The candidate should be responsible for handling all disputes related to 138, including Consumer Complaints, Recovery Notices and Litigations, Legal Metrology Notices, and notices from other departments.
• The candidate is responsible for filing Responses and Rejoinders, keeping an eye on all legal stuff, creating a monthly report and filling out all the necessary information in the app. In the event of a criminal complaint, the candidate will need to speak to the police and follow up.
• The candidate should be able to assist the Senior Manager of legal Retail with Retail Expansion, which includes Developing Letters of Intent, Assisting with Due Diligence for Properties across India, Monitoring Due Diligence, Generating Reports and the Head of Legal on other important litigations as and when required.

Eligibility

• LLB (2 to 5 Years of Law firm Experience) 
• The candidate should be self-motivated and focused on results, with a can-do attitude and a mindset that doesn't just accept "common sense" as "common sense".
• The candidate should be able to conduct research, study and rely on legal knowledge. Work well together and as a team, both in the legal team and across departments. Have a "Patient" attitude as the legal outcome might not be in your favor.
• The Candidate must have great communication skills, both verbally and non-verbally, and the ability to communicate around the world. They also have great organizational and prioritization abilities, as well as great time management, attention to detail, and accuracy.
