Revolut is hiring a Legal Counsel with experience of 4 to 7 years to join their office in Bengaluru.
Role and Responsibilities
- Drafting, reviewing, and advising internal stakeholders on third-party agreements, operations agreements, marketing agreements, etc.
- Negotiating with external counterparts on a variety of commercial agreements.
- Identifying and consulting on legal risks in connection with the development of new products.
- Helping to interpret and monitor changes to regulatory guidelines while proactively handling regulatory developments and advising internal stakeholders.
- Liaising with specialist external counsel with new products, expansion into new market verticals, and areas relating to compliance, privacy, or security.
- Developing and implementing processes for efficient and streamlined operations surrounding contract negotiation and processes.
- Developing and maintaining form agreements, contract management systems, and other databases.
- Serving as lead counsel on strategic deals, resolving issues that arise in existing commercial relationships, and handling pre-litigation legal disputes and inquiries.
- Driving ongoing compliance review processes, including necessary filings, policies, and procedures.
- Providing time-sensitive support on a wide array of legal inquiries.
Eligibility
- 4–7 years of PQE in financial services regulations, commercial transactions, data privacy, contract negotiations, and employment/labor law.
- Experience practicing law in India and familiarity with Indian legal and regulatory frameworks.
- An in-depth understanding of financial services regulations and their application in commercial transactions.
- The ability to handle complex contract negotiations and provide strategic advice on employment/labor law matters.
- Expertise in data privacy regulations and their implications on business operations and compliance.
- A solid understanding of corporate governance and the ability to advise clients on regulatory compliance issues.
- The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and deliver results under tight deadlines.
