Details of the Job/Internship
Russell Investments is hiring a Legal Counsel with 4-6 years of experience to join their Global Legal team in their Mumbai office.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, negotiate, and finalize investment management agreements and related contracts across multiple jurisdictions.
- Identify and manage legal, regulatory, and contractual risks.
- Update and maintain legal templates to align with current rules, regulations, and best practices.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders including investment, legal, compliance, and operations teams.
- Provide expertise on legal issues related to money manager contracts, dispute resolution, amendments, and enforcement.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Law.
- 4-6 years of relevant experience in a major law firm or in-house with a focus on commercial agreements.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word.
