Details of the Job/Internship

Serrala is hiring a Legal Counsel with 3 years of experience to join their office in Pune. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Commercial Contracts:
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex software licensing and SaaS agreements with customers across North America, EU, APAC, and other jurisdictions.
• Handle IT service contracts, procurement agreements, partner agreements, NDAs, project-specific documents, and corporate housekeeping matters.
• Cross-Functional Legal Support:
• Collaborate with sales, consulting, technology, and operations teams on legal risk, compliance, and policy development.
• Drive initiatives for policy implementation, documentation standards, and internal legal processes.
• Local Legal Advisory (India):
• Serve as the go-to legal advisor for Serrala’s India operations, covering areas such as:
• Employment law and HR-related matters
• Property, vendor, and procurement contracts
• Corporate governance and regulatory compliance
• Knowledge & Compliance:
• Maintain and manage Serrala’s contract archives and templates.
• Coordinate and support cross-departmental legal and compliance projects globally.

Eligibility

Education:

• Law degree from a recognized university in India (BA LL.B. or LL.M.).
• Bar Council enrollment or eligibility as a practicing advocate.

Professional Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of in-house legal experience, ideally within a global organization or reputed law firm.
• Solid background in Technology, Media & Telecom (TMT) or IP/IT law, including contract negotiation from both buyer and seller perspectives.
