Details of the Job/Internship

Snapmint is hiring a Legal Counsel with 5–8 years of experience to join its Mumbai-based team.

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, including service and partnership agreements.
• Ensure compliance with RBI NBFC norms, fintech laws, and data privacy regulations.
• Advise product and tech teams on legal aspects of product features and initiatives.
• Manage legal risk across lending, collections, marketing, and data practices.
• Handle regulatory filings, audits, and liaise with RBI, MCA, and other authorities.
• Collaborate with external counsel on litigation, opinions, and corporate matters.
• Conduct internal training on legal and compliance topics.
• Track and communicate regulatory changes impacting fintech and NBFCs.
• Assist in shaping internal governance and compliance frameworks.

Eligibility

• LL.B. degree with 5–8 years of post-qualification experience.
• Experience in law firms and/or in-house legal departments, preferably in fintech, NBFCs, or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of RBI and fintech-related regulations, commercial contracting, and legal risk management.
• Excellent communication, drafting, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
