Details of the Job/Internship
Tata Steel is hiring a Legal Counsel to join its office in Bhubaneswar.
Role and Responsibilities
- Assist in timely and effective litigation management for TSK and TSA at Jajpur Road, Jajpur Town, Cuttack, Athagarh, and Bhubaneswar, including coordination with advocates.
- Draft and vet plaints, petitions, applications, replies, written statements, counters, rejoinders, legal notices, and objections.
- Conduct legal research and prepare lists and various reports for management review.
- Handle internal communication with relevant business teams for fact marshalling.
- Ensure proper record-keeping and management of case databases.
Eligibility
- B.A. LL.B. or LL.B. (Hons.).
- Conversant with procedures and practice in District Courts and High Court of Odisha.
- Experience in handling civil and criminal trials, evidence, and related matters.
- Technical competencies: drafting, legal research, briefing of counsels, independent client interaction.
- Behavioural competencies: teamwork and collaboration.
