Details of the Job/Internship
Tesco Business Solutions is hiring a Lead – Legal Counsel (Contract) with 3+ years of post-qualification experience to join their Bengaluru office.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft and negotiate contracts for goods for resale and goods not for resale.
- Provide specialized legal advice on commercial contracting.
- Collaborate with in-house legal experts in Data Protection, IP, and Competition Law.
- Advise internal stakeholders and identify potential legal risks.
- Drive innovation in legal service delivery using technology and process improvement.
- Ensure compliance with Tesco’s Business Code of Conduct and policies.
- Engage and support legal teams across UK and international operations.
- Represent Talent Acquisition in forums related to process, compliance, and audits.
- Promote continuous improvement and innovation within the legal team.
Eligibility
- Graduate with LLB degree from a recognized university.
- Minimum 3 years of post-qualification experience in a leading UK or Indian law firm.
- Proficiency in UK laws and contract documentation.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and cross-functionally under pressure.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
