Tesla is hiring a Legal Counsel with a minimum of 5 years of experience to support its operations in India and the Asia Pacific region.
Role and Responsibilities
- Advise on legal, regulatory, and compliance matters related to business activities in India and Asia Pacific.
- Support business functions in achieving strategic and operational goals.
- Provide counsel on consumer protection, data privacy, and employment law.
- Review and negotiate lease agreements, commercial contracts, vehicle sales contracts, and warranty agreements.
- Oversee legal risk assessment and compliance implementations.
- Manage external counsel for discrete legal matters.
Eligibility
- Qualified lawyer in India with an active Attorney’s License.
- Minimum 5 years of experience with a top-tier international law firm or multinational company.
- Strong knowledge of Indian laws in regulatory, compliance, commercial, employment, consumer protection, and data privacy.
- Fluent in English and local languages.
- Strong decision-making, legal interpretation, and business advisory skills.
- Excellent communication, writing, and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple cross-country projects.
