Details of the Job/Internship
Third Bridge Group is hiring a Legal Counsel with 5–7 years of experience to join its global legal team in Mumbai. The role involves acting as a trusted legal adviser across the Asia-Pacific region, combining expertise in commercial contracting, regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and cross-functional legal advisory, while supporting the company’s growth in a fast-paced environment.
Role and Responsibilities
- Drafting, negotiating, and approving client agreements, addendums, and order forms across the APAC region.
- Managing vendor contracts including service agreements, procurement, marketing contracts, NDAs, property leases, and content distribution agreements.
- Developing contract templates and playbooks to enable efficient handling of routine matters.
- Advising on financial services regulations, securities laws, market abuse regulations, MNPI handling, and data protection laws across APAC jurisdictions.
- Monitoring regulatory developments in key Asian jurisdictions and assessing their business impact.
- Managing corporate governance matters including statutory compliance, board documentation, corporate records, and regional entity management.
- Supporting corporate transactions such as share issuances, reorganisations, and acquisitions.
- Providing legal advice across commercial, regulatory, employment, and governance matters in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Conducting legal research, tracking legal developments, and analysing their impact on business operations.
- Delivering legal training on contracts, regulatory compliance, MNPI handling, and corporate governance.
- Identifying risks, improving efficiencies, and supporting the adoption of legal technology, automation, and AI solutions.
Eligibility
- Law degree from a recognised Indian university (LLB/BA LLB/BBA LLB) or equivalent qualification.
- 5–7 years of post-qualification experience with broad commercial and regulatory exposure.
- Prior experience in a law firm and in-house environment preferred.
- Regulatory compliance experience in financial services, securities law, or expert network regulations.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills in English.
