Details of the Job/Internship

Wipro is hiring an In-House Legal Counsel with experience of 8+ years to join their office in Bengaluru. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Support the partner ecosystem by drafting, reviewing, and negotiating strategic partner engagements.
• Advise business teams and senior leadership on legal risks and strategic aspects of partner collaborations.
• Manage a diverse portfolio of contracts, including SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, software licenses, and IT infrastructure agreements.
• Handle specialized documentation for treasury, structured finance, ISDA contracts, and construction projects.
• Ensure legal compliance for cross-border transactions, with a heavy focus on global data protection issues.
• Navigate software license compliance, including open-source software and copyright issues.
• Create and maintain contract templates and legal playbooks to streamline global customer engagements.
• Collaborate with other legal teams to provide training and handle potential contract disputes or litigation.

Eligibility

• Law degree with excellent academic credentials.
• 8+ years of relevant legal experience, with at least 5 years in an in-house role.
• Extensive experience in negotiating IT services, hosting, and cloud-based agreements.
• Strong knowledge of legal and compliance issues relating to international data privacy.
• Proven ability to negotiate effectively with opposing counsel and protect corporate interests.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills for regular stakeholder engagement.
• Prior exposure to contract disputes or litigation management is preferred.
