Worley is hiring a Legal Counsel with experience of 7 years to join their office in Online Mode.
Role and Responsibilities
- Contract Advisory: Provide expert contractual advice on a wide range of contracts and contractual matters, including regulatory compliance, contract negotiations and risk management.
- Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements with customers,sub contractors, suppliers and other stakeholders,ensuring alignment with industry best practices and legal standards.
- Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and inter pretrelevant laws and requlations in Australia and NeW Zealand, ensuring the company's operations adhere to all legal requirements.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including project managers, engineers, and management, to provide proactive contractual support and facilitate smooth project execution.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential legal risks associated with projects, implementing strategies to protect the company's interests and reputation.
- Compliance and Governance: Advise on compliance with Worley's policies and standards, including delegations of authority.
Eligibility
- Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) from a recognised university. Australian or international qualifications, including master's degree or specialist accreditations, are highly regarded.
- Minimum of 7 years of post-legal qualification experience, with a significant focus on contracts and the energy and resources sector, particularly in engineering and renewable energy and sustainability projects internationally.
- A combination of in-house and private legal practice experience is preferred.
- In-depth knowledge and experience of contracts, Australian and New Zealand legal systems, legislation and industry standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills,with the ability to navigate complex legal İssues.
- Excellent drafting, communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrates initiative and a willing ness to learn and continuously improve on performance.
- Deliver quality services and demonstrate a Commitment to understand and meet customer needs.
- Able to work on multiple projects of various size and complexity.
