Details of the Job/Internship
YES BANK is hiring a Legal Counsel with 4–8 years of relevant experience to join their Registered Office in Mumbai. The role involves handling legal matters related to domestic and cross-border lending transactions, drafting and reviewing transaction and security documents, liaising with external counsels, and providing advisory support to business teams.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, negotiate, and review transaction and security documents for domestic and cross-border lending transactions.
- Liaise with external legal counsels (domestic and foreign) for cross-border transactions across multiple geographies.
- Vet product/process notes, policies, and terms and conditions related to various products and services from IBU branches and business groups.
- Analyze legal issues related to statutory and regulatory risks/compliances and provide advisories to business teams.
- Track and update laws, rules, and regulations relevant to the bank’s business and policies.
Eligibility
- LLB from a reputed law college or university in India.
- Master’s degree/LLM from a foreign or reputed domestic institution is preferred.
- Experience working in scheduled commercial banks, foreign banks, or law firms handling legal matters related to cross-border transactions.
- Well-versed in Indian laws and regulations related to lending and security creation for wholesale banking portfolios.
- 4–8 years of relevant work experience.
