Details of the Job/Internship

YES BANK is hiring a Legal Counsel with 4–8 years of relevant experience to join its Registered Office in Mumbai. The role is a full-time, on-site position with no hybrid working structure. The position involves handling legal matters related to wholesale banking, including domestic and cross-border lending transactions, regulatory compliance, and liaison with internal stakeholders and external counsels.

Role and Responsibilities

• Drafting, negotiating, and reviewing transaction and security documents for domestic and cross-border lending transactions, including familiarity with APLMA/LMA documentation.
• Liaising with external legal counsels, both domestic and foreign, for handling cross-border transactions across multiple jurisdictions.
• Vetting product and process notes, policies, terms, and conditions related to products and services of IBU branches and business groups.
• Analysing statutory and regulatory risks and compliance issues and providing legal advisories and recommendations to business teams.
• Tracking and updating applicable laws, rules, and regulations relevant to the Bank’s business and internal policies.

Eligibility

• LLB from any reputed law college or university in India.
• Master’s Degree or LLM from a foreign or reputed domestic institution will be preferred.
• Experience of working in scheduled commercial banks, foreign banks, or law firms handling legal matters relating to cross-border transactions or related portfolios.
• Strong knowledge of Indian laws and regulations related to lending, security creation, and wholesale banking portfolios.
• Post Qualification Experience of 4–8 years in relevant roles.
• Candidates with only litigation, retail portfolio, or collection experience shall not be considered.
