Details of the Job/Internship
YourTribe is hiring a Legal Counsel II with experience of 3–6 years to support its identity AI business and the HyperStart CLM platform.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize agreements such as NDAs, MSAs, SOWs, Order Forms, DPAs, and SLAs with enterprise clients across multiple regions.
- Drive contract negotiations using redline matrices, approved playbooks, and fallback positions to support efficient deal closures.
- Identify legal, commercial, and operational risks and propose practical solutions aligned with business goals.
- Support implementation of India’s Digital Personal Data Protection framework and respond to GDPR and CCPA related diligence requests.
- Maintain vendor risk assessments, incident response templates, and policy acknowledgment workflows.
- Lead compliance projects and create documentation for implementing compliance standards.
- Work with product and engineering teams to review products and product partnerships from a legal perspective.
- Translate regulatory frameworks into product design and compliance considerations.
- Maintain trademark records and filings and monitor brand protection matters.
- Track open-source software usage and licensing obligations.
- Manage the legal intake process and contracting pipeline.
- Improve turnaround time for legal requests and identify opportunities to automate workflows within the CLM platform.
Eligibility
- LL.B. degree is required and LL.M. or privacy certification is an advantage.
- 3–6 years of experience in TMT, fintech, or corporate law in a law firm or in-house environment.
- Experience with commercial SaaS contracting.
- Working familiarity with data privacy frameworks such as DPDP, GDPR, or CCPA.
- Basic understanding of SaaS business models, intellectual property, and open-source licensing.
- Strong drafting skills and solution-oriented negotiation abilities.
