Details of the Job/Internship

Affinity Global Inc. is hiring a Legal Director with experience of 10+ years to join their office in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. This is a strategic, business-facing role leading the global legal function across business verticals and geographies, combining commercial contracting, regulatory oversight, governance leadership, and strategic advisory.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal leadership and act as a trusted advisor to the CEO, SVP Finance, and Global Leadership Team.
• Lead global commercial contracting, including enterprise MSAs, SLAs, publisher and advertiser contracts, technology partnerships, API integrations, data processing agreements, and international vendor agreements.
• Ensure contract standardisation, develop contract playbooks, and manage contract lifecycle management through SpotDraft.
• Drive global compliance across data protection laws, anti-corruption laws, consumer protection regulations, and digital advertising regulations.
• Develop legal risk dashboards and collaborate with Finance, HR, Tech, and Product teams to mitigate regulatory exposure.
• Support global entity expansion, restructuring, and coordination with advisors across India, APAC, US, and Europe.
• Oversee intellectual property strategy across software platforms, AI assets, branding, trademarks, and content licensing.
• Manage IP registrations, renewals, and infringement risks in coordination with Product and Engineering teams.
• Manage external law firms and consultants globally and optimise legal spend.
• Strengthen legal processes, templates, workflows, governance processes, and legal tech automation.
• Supervise and mentor in-house Legal Counsel and build future legal capability aligned with business expansion.

Eligibility

• LLB from a premier law school (mandatory).
• LLM or international legal qualification preferred.
• 10+ years of post-qualification legal experience.
• Minimum 5 years in a Global SaaS Product or Ad-Tech company (mandatory).
• Experience in a multinational in-house legal function or reputed international law firm.
• International contracting exposure across multiple jurisdictions.
• Experience managing global external counsel networks.
• Working knowledge of contract lifecycle management systems; SpotDraft experience preferred.

Salary/Stipend
