Details of the Job/Internship
HARMAN India is hiring a Director – Legal with 10+ years of experience to join their office in Bengaluru.
Role and Responsibilities
- Review, draft, and negotiate high-value agreements, including procurement, licensing, vendor, and marketing contracts.
- Advise on commercial strategies, antitrust issues, and regulatory risk mitigation.
- Collaborate with senior legal leadership on significant global matters.
- Manage litigation, external counsel, and legal service providers.
- Provide guidance on data privacy, trade compliance, product certifications, tariffs, and regulatory inquiries.
- Support cross-functional teams in engineering, supply chain, HR, IT, governance, and compliance.
- Lead risk assessments, develop mitigation strategies, and implement scalable legal processes.
- Partner with finance on audits, defaults, royalties, and external counsel cost management.
- Advise on disputes, settlements, and customer service-related liability.
Eligibility
- Law degree with 10+ years of experience.
- Strong background in corporate/commercial law, regulatory compliance, and litigation.
- Proven experience in cross-border agreements and multi-million-dollar negotiations.
- Strong project management, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Financial acumen and flexibility to work across global time zones.
