PayPal seeks a Legal Director to lead its legal function across India & MEA (Middle East & Africa). Based in Mumbai,
Role and Responsibilities
- Lead PayPal’s legal function in India & MEA, aligning legal initiatives with business goals.
- Advise on new product launches, regulatory impact, and business risks.
- Manage regulatory issues, governance matters, and compliance programs.
- Negotiate agreements with key partners, financial institutions, and payment processors.
- Provide strategic input on M&A, IP, and high-profile transactions.
- Represent PayPal in litigation and oversee dispute resolution.
- Develop risk management strategies and ensure compliance with laws across jurisdictions.
- Guide and train business teams on legal and regulatory frameworks.
Eligibility
- Law degree (Juris Doctorate or equivalent).
- Minimum 15 years of relevant work experience in corporate law, regulatory compliance, and commercial legal matters.
- Proven experience working with senior management and cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
- Global outlook with ability to collaborate across time zones.
