Details of the Job/Internship
Pronto is hiring a Legal Director to partner closely with the business and support rapid, compliant, and risk-aware scaling. The role involves overseeing commercial legal matters, labour law compliance, litigation management, regulatory liaison, intellectual property coordination, and strategic risk advisory.
Role and Responsibilities
- Review and assess legal risks in business transactions and commercial arrangements.
- Structure, negotiate, draft, and execute vendor, staffing, service, employment, and partnership agreements.
- Support business expansion through legal due diligence and operationally aligned risk mitigation.
- Provide legal guidance on labour laws applicable to blue-collar, contractual, and gig workforce models.
- Ensure compliance with CLRA, Shops and Establishments, PF, ESIC, Minimum Wages, POSH, and other applicable statutes.
- Draft, review, and implement workforce-related policies, SOPs, and compliance frameworks.
- Review legal cases, disputes, and notices and drive resolution strategies.
- Draft and review legal notices, claims, petitions, replies, and representations.
- Manage litigation through coordination with external counsel and track risks and outcomes.
- Liaise with government authorities, regulators, and statutory bodies.
- Handle inspections, notices, and regulatory communications.
- Monitor legislative changes and proactively advise stakeholders on impact and actions.
- Coordinate filing and management of trademarks and copyrights through third-party consultants.
- Support corporate governance requirements, documentation, and internal legal processes.
- Provide proactive risk advisory to leadership and manage complex, multi-stakeholder matters.
Eligibility
- Strong experience in labour laws and workforce compliance, particularly for blue-collar, contractual, and frontline workforce models.
- Proven expertise in contract drafting, negotiation, and dispute management.
- Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced and evolving business environment.
- Practical, business-first mindset with sound legal judgment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Salary/Stipend
