Details of the Job/Internship
Pronto is hiring a Legal Director with experience of 9–12 years to join their office in Bangalore Urban.
Role and Responsibilities
Commercial and Business Legal
- Review and assess legal risks in business transactions and commercial arrangements.
- Structure, negotiate, draft, and execute vendor, staffing, service, employment, and partnership agreements.
- Support business expansion through legal due diligence and risk mitigation aligned with operational realities.
Labour Laws and Workforce Compliance
- Provide legal guidance on laws and regulations applicable to blue-collar, contractual, and gig workforce models.
- Ensure compliance with labour laws including CLRA, Shops and Establishments, PF, ESIC, Minimum Wages, POSH, and other applicable statutes.
- Draft, review, and implement workforce-related policies, SOPs, and compliance frameworks.
Litigation and Dispute Management
- Review existing legal cases, disputes, and notices and drive resolution strategies.
- Draft and review legal notices, claims, petitions, replies, and representations.
- Manage litigation by coordinating with external counsel and tracking outcomes and risks.
Regulatory and Government Liaison
- Liaise with government authorities, regulators, and statutory bodies as required.
- Handle inspections, notices, and regulatory communications with a solution-oriented approach.
- Stay updated on legislative changes and proactively advise stakeholders on implications and necessary actions.
IP and Corporate Matters
- Coordinate filing and management of trademarks and copyrights through third-party consultants.
- Support corporate governance requirements, documentation, and internal legal compliance.
Risk Advisory and Stakeholder Management
- Apply effective risk management techniques and provide proactive legal advice to leadership.
- Communicate and negotiate with external parties, including regulators, consultants, and public authorities.
- Handle complex matters involving multiple stakeholders while maintaining clarity and control.
Eligibility
- Strong experience of 9–12 years in labour laws and compliance, particularly in blue-collar and frontline workforce environments.
- Proven capability in contract drafting, negotiation, and dispute management.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and evolving business environment.
- Practical, business-oriented mindset with strong legal acumen.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
