The objective is to increase productivity and cut downtime spent searching the judgments by providing a starting point or point of reference through summarising lengthy judgments in the form of case summaries. There are also blogs on different areas of law.

Details of the Job/Internship

Brief Law is hiring Legal editor in New Delhi. As their Editor, they will play a pivotal role in maintaining the quality and integrity of their legal content. Your keen eye for detail and impeccable editing skills will ensure that their case summaries, blog posts and other publications adhere to high editorial standards.

Role and Responsibilities

• Edit and proofread legal articles, blog posts, and other written materials for clarity, grammar, punctuation, and style.
• Ensure accuracy and consistency in legal terminology, citations, and references.
•  Collaborate with writers to refine content and enhance readability while preserving the author’s voice and intent.
• Conduct fact-checking and source verification to maintain the highest level of credibility.
• Stay up-to-date with legal developments and trends to ensure content relevance.
• Provide constructive feedback and guidance to writers, fostering continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with the content team to meet publication deadlines and manage workloads effectively.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Law.
• Proven experience as an editor, preferably in a legal, publishing, or content-driven environment.
• Exceptional command of written English, with a strong grasp of grammar, punctuation, and style.
• Familiarity with legal terminology, concepts, and research methodologies.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to provide constructive feedback.
