JPMorgan Chase & Co. is hiring for the position of Legal Entity Market Risk - Vice President with 5 years of experience to join their office in Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Lead the India Legal Entity Market Risk strategy and interface with local regulatory authorities.
- Interpret and implement local and regional regulatory requirements relating to market risk in India and across the APAC region.
- Coordinate and manage onsite and offsite regulatory inspections and examinations.
- Develop and maintain a robust market risk governance framework for the legal entity.
- Set, monitor, and analyze risk limits for legal entities, ensuring clear and timely communication of risk exposures.
- Identify material risks, concentrations, and tail exposures by monitoring market risk positions across asset classes.
- Provide detailed commentary and analysis on risk developments, particularly during volatile market conditions.
- Conduct risk scenario analyses and respond to senior management and trading desk requests.
- Actively engage with trading desk heads to assess business activity, exposures, material transactions, and risk trends.
- Represent the Legal Entity Risk team in risk committee meetings and deliver insights on risk profiles and market concerns.
- Drive enhancements in risk transparency and methodology, including analysis of basis risks, curve risks, and complex structures.
- Collaborate with Front Office, Finance, Middle Office, and Technology teams on projects involving VaR, stress testing, and reporting tools.
- Support APAC-wide legal entity initiatives related to regulatory deliverables, stress testing, and resiliency planning.
- Lead or contribute to in-depth cross-asset risk reviews across businesses and trading desks.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proven understanding of Indian and APAC financial markets and derivative products.
- Strong analytical mindset with a solid grasp of quantitative risk concepts such as sensitivities, P&L attribution, VaR, and stress testing.
- In-depth knowledge of local regulatory frameworks and market risk governance standards.
- Demonstrated experience in handling regulatory interactions, with excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong accountability and ability to operate independently with limited oversight.
- Proven track record of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
- Exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills to lead cross-functional initiatives.
