Details of the Job/Internship
Oberoi Law Chambers is looking for a long-term, proactive, organized, and driven Legal Executive/Associate to join their dynamic team at their office in Chandigarh.
Role and Responsibilities
- Exceptional management and communication skills.
- Coordinate and oversee the smooth execution of events, collaborations, client onboarding, and internal projects.
- Maintain and update detailed execution checklists and project trackers.
- Ensure all deliverables are completed within specified timelines.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for execution-related client communication.
- Provide regular progress reports to the Business Development Case Manager.
- Draft of cases, agreements and and review legal documents, including agreements, MoUs, NDAs, policies, and notices.
- Draft petitions, replies, written statements, and other pleadings.
- Conduct thorough legal research on case laws, statutes, and propositions of law.
- Assist in the preparation of legal cases, including case notes, research files, and compiling relevant judgments.
- Support senior advocates/lawyers with court preparation.
- Make court appearances when required and assist during court proceedings.
Eligibility
- Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B or equivalent) from a reputable university.
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in legal drafting, litigation support, and project coordination.
- Strong drafting and research skills.
- Familiarity with court procedures and the ability to handle court appearances.
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal research databases (SCC, Lawfinder, etc.).
- Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in the Punjab and Haryana High Court or the Supreme Court of India.
Salary/Stipend
