Details of the Job/Internship
Licious is hiring a Legal Executive – Litigation with 3–6 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) to support its litigation, recovery, and legal research functions. The role includes managing legal databases, trackers, and tools to ensure efficient case handling and reporting while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
Role and Responsibilities
- Assist in end-to-end handling of litigation and pre-litigation matters (civil, criminal, labour, and consumer).
- Coordinate with external counsels, monitor case progress, and ensure timely filing of replies, evidence, and submissions.
- Maintain and update litigation trackers, case status reports, and digital repository of pleadings and orders.
- Support internal stakeholders in preparing affidavits, witness statements, and responses to legal notices.
- Manage recovery actions related to lease, vendor, or customer defaults in coordination with Finance and Operations teams.
- Issue demand, termination, and recovery notices under applicable laws and agreements.
- Track recovery progress and support execution of decrees, settlements, or arbitration awards.
- Prepare MIS and dashboards on recovery performance and follow-ups.
- Conduct research on case laws, statutory provisions, and regulatory updates relevant to business operations.
- Prepare legal briefs, internal advisories, and opinion notes on ongoing or prospective issues.
- Monitor changes in law impacting the company’s business and assist in policy or SOP updates.
- Manage and update internal legal tools, trackers, and databases (litigation, notice, recovery, compliance).
- Coordinate with IT/Tech teams for improvements or automation of legal data management systems.
- Ensure proper documentation, storage, and version control for all legal records.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B) from a recognized Indian university; LL.M preferred but not mandatory.
- Enrolled with the Bar Council of India with a valid enrolment number.
- 3–6 years of relevant experience in litigation, recovery, or legal operations, either in-house or with a reputed law firm.
- Strong drafting, research, and analytical skills.
- Sound knowledge of Indian civil, criminal, and commercial laws.
- Exposure to arbitration, recovery, or consumer litigation preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office and legal management tools (Litigation Tracker, Contract Repository, etc.).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and deliver within timelines.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and result-driven approach.
