Details of the Job/Internship
Burma Burma Restaurant & Tea Room is hiring for the position of Lega Executive with 2-5 years of experience to join their office in Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Contracts & Agreements
- Draft, review, and manage a wide range of contracts including lease agreements, vendor contracts, employment agreements, and service-level agreements
- Ensure legal accuracy and timely renewal of all documentation
- Maintain organized records and monitor key contract deadlines
- New Outlet Expansion
- Support legal processes for launching new outlets, including review of property documents, licensing, and regulatory permissions
- Liaise with landlords, brokers, and local municipal authorities to ensure compliance and timely execution
- IPO & Corporate Governance
- Assist in legal documentation and compliance for the company’s IPO readiness
- Work alongside external advisors, consultants, and internal teams to meet corporate governance requirements
- Support corporate filings and statutory obligations
- Compliance & Regulatory Oversight
- Monitor and ensure adherence to applicable laws including FSSAI, labor laws, POSH, and local municipal regulations
- Coordinate with external legal counsel on complex legal matters
- Conduct periodic reviews to mitigate legal risks across outlets and offices
- Internal Legal Advisory
- Serve as the primary point of contact for legal queries from internal teams
- Provide business-oriented legal advice to help teams make informed decisions while minimizing risk
Eligibility
- Law graduate (LLB) with 2–5 years of experience, preferably in the F&B, retail, or hospitality sector.
- Proficient in contract drafting, property documentation, and basic company law.
- Familiarity with IPO processes, compliance frameworks, and general corporate legal requirements.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized, self-driven, and capable of managing multiple priorities independently.
