Details of the Job/Internship
DHL is hiring a Legal Executive with more than 2 years of experience to join its Legal Services team in Mumbai, India. This is a full-time, permanent role within the APAC region. The position focuses on supporting the development and administration of legal processes to identify and mitigate legal risks, protect the company’s legal and business interests, and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal legal frameworks.
Role and Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation, execution, filing, and record management of legal documents, including letters, contracts, and deeds.
- Support contract closure processes by coordinating with senior management, internal stakeholders, and various departments.
- Prepare contract approval forms and ensure timely approvals and execution.
- Assist in preparing monthly litigation, contingent liability, and lease reports.
- Maintain and update records of litigation across courts and forums in India, and coordinate with external lawyers for case status updates.
- Coordinate with customer service teams regarding customer claims and assist in drafting appropriate responses.
- Maintain updated records of insurance claims with DHL’s insurers.
- Liaise with external counsels and consultants, monitor assigned work, and track progress.
- Manage invoices from external counsels and consultants, process payments, and provide monthly reports on invoices and payments.
- Maintain hard and digital legal records.
- Assist in day-to-day legal work, including court filings, notary and attestation work, and related administrative tasks, with travel within city limits if required.
- Maintain statutory books and secretarial records, ensure safe custody of documents, and assist in preparing resolutions and minutes as advised.
- Provide general administrative and paralegal support as required.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification or experience.
- More than 2 years of relevant work experience.
