Details of the Job/Internship
HINDCO is hiring a Legal professional with 2–5 years of experience to handle media, OTT, and film-related legal matters.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and finalise OTT licensing, film distribution, content acquisition, and co-production agreements.
- Handle production, talent, vendor, marketing, NDAs, MoUs, and revenue-sharing contracts.
- Manage OTT and digital rights, including exclusivity, exploitation rights, and monetisation terms.
- Structure and oversee film distribution contracts covering territory, language rights, MG, revenue share, and release windows.
- Track rights expiry, renewals, royalties, and monetisation timelines.
- Maintain a central repository of contracts and monitor critical dates.
- Ensure compliance with copyright laws, IPR rules, censorship norms, and media guidelines.
- Provide legal advisory on media, entertainment, OTT regulations, and IP rights.
- Assist in handling legal notices, disputes, and claims.
- Coordinate with content, production, marketing, sales, finance teams, OTT platforms, distributors, and external counsel.
- Identify legal risks and support mitigation and dispute resolution strategies.
Eligibility
- LLB or LLM degree.
- Specialisation in Media, Entertainment, or Intellectual Property Law is an advantage.
- 2–5 years of experience in drafting media, film, or OTT agreements.
- Strong understanding of OTT licensing, film distribution contracts, copyright, digital rights, and media regulations.
- Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail.
