Details of the Job/Internship

They are seeking a dynamic Legal Executive with expertise in debt recovery and legal collections to manage end-to-end legal processes while driving efficient recovery of dues through legal tools. This role requires a blend of legal advisory skills, negotiation expertise, and hands-on experience in executing recovery strategies under relevant laws. 

Role and Responsibilities

Legal Collections & Recovery: 

• Initiate and manage legal recovery actions under SARFAESI Act, DRT, Civil Courts, Lok Adalat, and other applicable laws. 
• Prepare and issue demand notices, possession notices, and other legal communications to defaulters. 
• Represent the company in recovery forums (DRT, NCLT) and coordinate with external advocates for timely resolution of cases. 
• Track Non-Performing Assets (NPAs) and strategize recovery plans to minimize financial loss. 
• Collaborate with collection agencies and field teams to ensure adherence to legal protocols during recovery. 

Litigation Management:

• Manage litigation cases (civil, criminal, and recovery-related) and liaise with external counsel for timely updates.
• Maintain a repository of case files, court orders, and recovery status reports for management review. 

Negotiation & Settlements:

• Negotiate settlements with defaulters to recover dues while minimizing litigation costs. 
• Advise on restructuring options and one-time settlements (OTS) in alignment with company policies. 

Risk Mitigation & Reporting: 

• Identify legal risks in loan portfolios and recommend corrective actions. 
• Prepare MIS reports on recovery status, NPAs, and legal compliance for senior management. 

Eligibility

• Education: LLB/LLM (enrolled with the Bar Council of India). 
• Experience: 1-2 years in legal roles, with 1+ years focused on debt recovery in NBFCs, banking, or financial services. 
• In-depth knowledge of the SARFAESI Act, DRT, IBC, CPC, and RBI regulations. 
• Proven track record in managing recovery cases and reducing NPAs. 
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills. 
• Proficiency in MS Office and legal case management tools. 
• Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision. 

Salary/Stipend
