Details of the Job/Internship
Licious is hiring a Legal Executive – Real Estate with 1–5 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) to support its legal team in property-related legal matters, litigation, and dispute resolution. The role involves handling real estate documentation, land due diligence, litigation management, and coordination with authorities.
Role and Responsibilities
- Conduct title due diligence and verification for lease and property acquisitions.
- Draft and review lease agreements, sale deeds, MOUs, and related real estate documents.
- Coordinate with external counsels, surveyors, and government authorities for property documentation.
- Assist in regulatory compliance related to property transactions, including stamp duty and registration.
- Handle and track litigation matters, including civil, consumer, and regulatory disputes.
- Coordinate with external lawyers, manage case documentation, and attend court hearings.
- Draft responses to legal notices, complaints, and other dispute-related documents.
- Maintain records of ongoing and past litigation, ensuring timely updates and follow-ups.
- Ensure compliance with local real estate and tenancy laws.
- Liaise with government offices (BBMP, BDA, Revenue Department, etc.) for property-related clearances.
- Monitor legal risks related to property transactions and propose mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with business teams for real estate and lease-related requirements.
- Work closely with HR and operations teams for employee-related legal disputes.
- Engage with law enforcement agencies and regulatory bodies as needed.
Eligibility
- LL.B graduate from a recognized university.
- 1–5 years of experience in real estate legal matters and litigation.
- Strong understanding of land laws, property documentation, and tenancy laws in Karnataka.
- Experience in litigation, arbitration, and dispute resolution.
- Proficiency in legal drafting, contract review, and compliance.
- Proficiency in Kannada (reading, writing, and speaking) is mandatory.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple legal matters simultaneously.
