Details of the Job/Internship
Orkla India is hiring a Legal Executive with 2+ years of experience to join their office in Bengaluru. The role involves supporting the company’s legal function by assisting in day-to-day legal matters and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Role and Responsibilities
- Understand and apply corporate, food, civil, criminal, trademark, legal metrology, and other applicable laws.
- Draft, review, vet, and negotiate commercial agreements, NDAs, MoUs, policies, and service contracts.
- Handle legal notices, replies, litigation strategy, liaise with external counsel, represent the company before forums and authorities, and review plaints, drafts, and affidavits.
- Identify legal risks and ensure controls to mitigate liabilities.
- Provide proactive legal advice to internal stakeholders on operational, HR, procurement, and strategic matters.
- Ensure timely filings with regulatory bodies and maintain statutory records.
- Draft and update internal legal policies, SOPs, and codes of conduct.
- Manage intellectual property matters, including registration and protection of trademarks, copyrights, and patents.
Eligibility
- 2+ years of experience.
- Proficiency in Kannada (spoken and written) is mandatory.
