Details of the Job/Internship

Quantiphi is hiring a Legal Executive with experience of 1–3 years to join their team in Mumbai or Bangalore.

Role and Responsibilities

• Supporting the development, implementation, and monitoring of AI governance frameworks and acceptable use policies.
• Responding to internal queries and advising teams on AI usage and compliance.
• Conducting research on emerging AI laws, data protection regulations, and case law.
• Identifying risks related to data privacy and copyright in AI model training and deployment.
• Coordinating with internal teams, inventors, and external counsel on intellectual property filings.
• Managing patent prosecution formalities, deadlines, docketing, and reporting.
• Handling trademark searches, filings, and related compliance matters.
• Managing open-source software compliance processes, including SBOM creation.
• Reviewing third-party software, models, and datasets for compliance.
• Conducting internal training for R&D teams on open-source licensing and ethical AI usage.
• Supervising paralegal activities to ensure proper record keeping and organisation.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Law with a strong academic record.
• Specialisation in intellectual property, open source, or artificial intelligence is preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in patents and trademarks in a law firm or in-house legal team.
• Experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating technology agreements, including SaaS and software licensing.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and proficiency in IT tools, IP databases, and advanced MS Excel or Google Sheets.
• Ability to work independently with a high degree of professionalism.

Salary/Stipend
