Details of the Job/Internship

Rentkar is hiring for the position of Legal Executive to join their office in Mumbai.

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft and manage legal documentation including rental agreements, legal notices, affidavits, and terms of service.
• Handle recovery and default cases by working closely with police authorities, Rentkar’s operations teams, and recovery agents.
• Represent Rentkar in civil and criminal proceedings—file complaints, attend court hearings, and compile evidence.
• Coordinate with external legal counsels and regulatory bodies to ensure timely and favorable resolutions.
• Track and resolve legal escalations arising from active rentals—covering fraud, defaulters, product damage, and misuse.
• Advise internal teams (Ops, Finance, HR) on legal protocols, compliance, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Formulate agile legal strategies to address fast-evolving issues across operational geographies.

Eligibility

• Experience in asset recovery, property law, or tracing defaulters.
• Exposure to rental businesses, e-commerce platforms, or other fast-paced, high-volume operations.
• Fluency in English and a local language (Hindi, Marathi, etc.).

Salary/Stipend
