Details of the Job/Internship

Rentkar is hiring for the position of Legal Executive to join their office in Mumbai. 

• Type: Full-Time | 6 Days/Week | Field-Intensive Role

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft & Manage Legal Documents: Rental contracts, affidavits, notices, service agreements, and terms & conditions.
• Recovery & Enforcement: Coordinate with law enforcement, recovery agents, and operations teams for dues recovery, fraud, and asset tracing.
• Legal Representation: File police complaints, attend court hearings, compile supporting evidence, and represent Rentkar in civil/criminal proceedings.
• Liaise with Authorities: Work closely with external counsels, police departments, and judicial officers to resolve disputes efficiently.
• Monitor Legal Escalations: Track and resolve issues across active rentals—ranging from damage and fraud to non-return and misuse.
• Internal Advisory: Provide practical legal advice to operations, finance, and HR teams; help develop legal playbooks and risk mitigation processes.
• Develop Rapid Legal Responses: Prepare case strategies in real-time for issues arising across cities.

Eligibility

• A licensed legal practitioner with a solid foundation in civil and criminal law.
• Prior experience handling litigation, police coordination, and court appearances.
• Hands-on and adaptable—capable of drafting contracts in the morning and resolving disputes on-ground by afternoon.
• Comfortable explaining legal matters in simple terms to non-legal teams.
• Highly reliable, organized, and action-oriented, especially in high-pressure situations.

Salary/Stipend

₹12,000–₹30,000/month
