Details of the Job/Internship
Snapmint is hiring an Executive – Legal (Commercial & Regulatory Affairs) with experience of 3–4 years to join their office in Mumbai. The role involves handling commercial contracts, regulatory compliance, legal risk management, and advising on fintech and NBFC-related matters while working closely with internal and external stakeholders.
Role and Responsibilities
- Review, draft, and negotiate commercial contracts including service agreements, partnerships, merchant onboarding documents, and financing agreements.
- Conduct research on RBI NBFC norms, data protection laws, fintech regulations, and consumer lending standards.
- Manage legal risks across lending, collections, marketing, and data usage.
- Handle regulatory filings, audits, and engagement with authorities such as RBI and MCA.
- Monitor timelines and ensure compliance with procedural requirements relating to notices, litigation, and dispute resolution.
- Collaborate with external counsel and advisors for litigation, structuring, and regulatory opinions.
- Develop materials for internal training sessions on legal and regulatory topics.
- Track and communicate legal and regulatory updates affecting the fintech and NBFC sector.
- Contribute to internal policy formulation, governance frameworks, and compliance monitoring programs.
- Stay updated with changes in laws, rules, and regulations impacting the business.
Eligibility
- LL.B. or LL.M. from a reputed university in India.
- 3–4 years of post-qualification experience with exposure in law firms and/or in-house legal teams, preferably in fintech, NBFCs, or financial services.
- Strong understanding of regulatory advisory, commercial contracts, and compliance frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with business stakeholders, regulators, and external counsel.
- Strong grasp of financial services laws and regulations, particularly RBI and fintech guidelines.
- Excellent legal drafting and contract negotiation skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage competing deadlines.
- Commercially sound judgment and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
