Details of the Job/Internship

SPR India is hiring a Legal Executive with 2–5 years of experience to join their Chennai team. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft and vet a wide range of real estate documents, including Sale Agreements, Lease Deeds, and Construction Contracts.
• Conduct comprehensive legal due diligence for new land acquisitions and verify historical title documents.
• Coordinate with external advocates to obtain formal Title Opinions and legal verification reports.
• Ensure strict adherence to RERA (Real Estate Regulatory Authority) norms and local municipal regulations.
• Manage stamp duty calculations and oversee the registration of various legal instruments at the Sub-Registrar's office.
• Support ongoing litigation by preparing case briefs, affidavits, and coordinating with external counsel.
• Maintain a centralized Legal MIS (Management Information System) to track renewals, amendments, and case statuses.
• Liaise with the Sales and Finance departments to ensure customer agreements align with project timelines and funding requirements.

Eligibility

• Education: LL.B. or LL.M. from a recognized university; enrollment with the Bar Council is preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 2+ years of specific experience in the Real Estate or Construction industry.
• Expertise: Proven proficiency in property documentation, land records, and contract management.
• Competencies: Strong coordination skills and a deep understanding of Tamil Nadu's local land laws and RERA practices.
• Requirement: Must be able to start immediately.
