Details of the Job/Internship
STARTEAM GLOBAL is hiring a Legal Executive to manage national and international contract management with a focus on the Asia region. The role involves drafting, negotiating, and managing legal documents, providing legal advice across departments, and ensuring alignment of legal practices with operations in Germany, China, and Thailand.
Role and Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain national and international customer and supplier contracts in collaboration with functional departments.
- Coordinate with external overseas and China legal firms to ensure compliance with local legal requirements.
- Handle general insurance renewal and policy administration matters.
- Monitor and document contractual timelines, deadlines, and compliance requirements.
- Create, adapt, and manage model agreements and contracts.
- Identify potential legal risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Develop document templates, guidelines, and best practices to ensure legal compliance.
Eligibility
- University degree in law or legal studies, with focus on civil and commercial law.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a paralegal or legal executive in a law firm or in-house legal team, preferably in commercial law.
- Knowledge of Chinese and Hong Kong law and international contract law.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, including Cantonese and Putonghua.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Chinese word processing.
