Details of the Job/Internship

Swarna Pragati Housing Microfinance Private Limited is hiring a Legal Executive with 1–7 years of experience to join their office in Mysore. The role involves managing all litigation and recovery-related matters of the company, with a strong focus on NPA cases, handling legal proceedings across multiple states, coordinating with advocates, and supporting the collections team to enhance recoveries.

Role and Responsibilities

• Handling litigation matters including Section 138 NI Act, arbitration, civil, criminal, execution, and enforcement cases.
• Coordinating with external advocates across states for filings, hearings, and follow-ups.
• Reviewing and approving legal notices, pleadings, petitions, and other legal documents.
• Supporting the collections team with legal strategies for complex and high-value NPA accounts.
• Issuing legal notices, managing settlements, and assisting field teams in negotiations and documentation.
• Identifying cases requiring legal escalation and recommending appropriate legal action.
• Tracking case progress, court orders, compliance requirements, and ensuring timely closures.
• Preparing MIS reports and providing regular updates to management on legal status and associated risks.

Eligibility

• LL.B. (LL.M. preferred).
• 1–7 years of experience in litigation and recovery, preferably in NBFC, banking, or microfinance.
• Strong knowledge of NPA legal processes and recovery laws.
• Good drafting, coordination, and communication skills.
• Kannada language proficiency is mandatory.
• Immediate joiners preferred.

Salary/Stipend
