Details of the Job/Internship
The Chennai Silks is hiring a Legal Executive with 2–3 years of experience to join their Head Office in Tirupur.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and vet agreements, contracts, MOUs, NDAs, SLAs, and vendor and client agreements.
- Ensure contracts align with company policies and legal standards.
- Maintain proper documentation and contract records.
- Ensure compliance with applicable corporate, labour, and commercial laws.
- Monitor legal and regulatory changes and advise management on implications.
- Support audits and compliance reviews.
- Coordinate with external advocates, consultants, and law firms.
- Handle legal notices, replies, opinions, and court-related documentation.
- Track litigation matters and maintain case status reports.
- Advise HR on employment laws, disciplinary actions, terminations, and compliance matters.
- Review HR policies, SOPs, and employee-related legal documents.
- Identify legal risks and provide preventive legal advice.
- Maintain legal MIS, case trackers, compliance calendars, and management reports.
Eligibility
- LLB or BL from a recognised university.
- Enrollment with the Bar Council preferred but not mandatory.
- Minimum 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in a corporate or legal firm.
- Mandatory experience in handling corporate legal matters.
- Strong knowledge of corporate, labour, and contract laws.
- Good communication, coordination, and negotiation skills.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Word and Excel.
- Ability to commute and work in an on-site setting.
