Details of the Job/Internship
The Independent Power Producers Association of India is hiring a Legal Assistant with 3+ years of experience to join their office in Bengaluru. The role involves legal research, document preparation, and supporting litigation and administrative legal tasks.
Role and Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research and analysis on various legal propositions.
- Draft petitions, plaints, replies, counters, rejoinders, complaints, written statements, notices, contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
- Assist in preparing and briefing senior counsels for trials, hearings, and final arguments.
- Prepare legal documents and brief notes.
- Maintain organized case files and documentation.
Eligibility
- Law degree from an accredited law school.
- Relevant experience of 3+ years in the power sector, preferably in litigation, consulting firms, or industry roles.
- Prior experience in energy and corporate laws.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
