Details of the Job/Internship
Eden Group is hiring a Legal Executive / Legal Associate with experience of 1–3 years to join their office in Kolkata. The role involves supporting the legal team in documentation, property due diligence, contract review, and legal research, particularly within the real estate sector.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and vet real estate agreements and legal documents.
- Conduct legal due diligence of properties.
- Assist in title verification and compliance-related matters.
- Liaise with external counsel and regulatory authorities.
- Use AI tools for legal research and document review.
- Maintain legal records and track litigation updates.
- Prepare legal notices and supporting documentation for disputes or settlements.
- Read and analyse handwritten Bengali deeds and various Records of Rights.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B.) from a recognised university.
- 1–3 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in real estate.
- Basic knowledge of property law, contracts, and land documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Comfortable using AI tools for legal research and document review.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to fluently read Bengali.
