Details of the Job/Internship
EPIC is hiring a Legal Head (PQE: 12+ Years) to join its team in Bengaluru, reporting directly to the Group Legal Counsel. This is a leadership role responsible for heading the legal function, ensuring statutory compliance, managing disputes and contracts, and providing strategic legal advice to senior management.
Role and Responsibilities
- Shape and implement legal strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Advise senior management on legal implications of key business decisions.
- Draft, review, and negotiate strategic business agreements and commercial contracts.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements across multiple locations.
- Handle employment law matters, disciplinary proceedings, employee disputes, and industrial relations.
- Represent the company before labour commissioners and tribunals.
- Oversee litigation across civil, criminal, labour, intellectual property, and tax matters, coordinating with external counsel where required.
- Drive trademark registration, intellectual property protection, and brand safeguarding initiatives.
- Support corporate governance and ensure legal compliance of board resolutions.
- Identify legal risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
- Participate in internal audits and implement corrective actions.
Eligibility
- LLB / LLM from a reputed university.
- Minimum 12+ years of relevant legal experience, preferably in the manufacturing or apparel sector.
