Details of the Job/Internship

WeRize is hiring a Legal Intern – LAP with 0–2 years of experience to join their Head Office in Bengaluru.

Role and Responsibilities

• Coordinate with empaneled law firms, advocates, and agencies to obtain legal search reports and property documents.
• Assist the credit team in collecting additional documents and creating charges on properties.
• Liaise with government and external authorities for charge creation, rectification, and release.
• Support empanelment of new vendors in collaboration with zonal legal managers.
• Maintain and review vendor performance as per internal policies.
• Ensure compliance with property and mortgage-related legal norms.
• Keep management updated on legal support activities and business impact.
• Help prepare legal advisories, newsletters, and compliance circulars.
• Maintain MIS and dashboards for legal tracking and reporting.

Eligibility

• Law degree (3-year or 5-year LL.B.) from a recognized university.
• 0 to 2 years of experience in Legal Departments of Banks, NBFCs, or FinTechs with exposure to secured mortgage lending (preferably LAP).
• Strong understanding of property law, Contract Act, Registration Act, Stamp Act, SARFAESI, and related local regulations.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and manage vendor relationships.
