Details of the Job/Internship
Ambak is hiring a Legal Intern for its Gurugram office. The internship offers hands-on exposure to FinTech laws and startup legal operations, with close involvement in regulatory, contractual, compliance, and governance matters in a high-growth environment.
Role and Responsibilities
- Support regulatory and compliance documentation relating to digital lending guidelines and Fair Practices Code.
- Maintain compliance trackers, SOPs, and internal policy documents.
- Coordinate with compliance consultants, auditors, and regulatory advisors.
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and vetting NDAs, vendor and technology agreements, FinTech partnership and API agreements.
- Support employment and consultancy agreements and contract lifecycle management.
- Review customer-facing documents, including terms and conditions, privacy policies, and user agreements.
- Assist with compliance under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the IT Act, 2000.
- Support data-sharing agreements and privacy documentation.
- Respond to internal data protection and information security queries.
- Assist with corporate and secretarial compliance under the Companies Act, 2013.
- Prepare board and committee documents, resolutions, and minutes.
- Maintain statutory records, filings, ESOP documentation, and shareholder records.
- Conduct legal research on FinTech regulations, RBI circulars, and emerging compliance requirements.
- Prepare internal notes, summaries, and compliance updates.
Eligibility
- Law graduate (LLB).
- Company Secretary (Professional level or pursuing) preferred.
- Strong interest in FinTech, regulatory law, and startup ecosystems.
- Good legal drafting and documentation skills.
- High attention to detail with a regulatory mindset.
- Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Strong ethics and confidentiality standards.
