Details of the Job/Internship
Exponent Energy is hiring a Legal Intern for a 6-month internship to join their in-house legal team in Bengaluru.
Role and Responsibilities
- Assist in organizing and maintaining internal databases and tools for tracking legal obligations, risks, and exposures.
- Conduct legal research on laws, regulations, and compliance requirements related to EVs, batteries, charging, imports, and energy supply chain.
- Support the legal team in drafting, reviewing, and editing contracts and templates.
- Proofread legal documents.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of contractual documents and maintain quality control throughout the contract lifecycle.
- Help create and manage a centralized contract repository for effective contract management and compliance tracking.
- Provide general legal and administrative support across various legal activities and projects.
Eligibility
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a 3-year or 5-year LL.B. program, preferably in the final year.
- Strong interest in corporate, commercial, and regulatory law, especially in the energy and mobility sectors.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational, legal research, and drafting skills.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic work environment.
- Proficient in MS Office or Google Workspace; familiarity with contract management tools is a plus.
- Eager to learn and contribute meaningfully to a fast-paced, impact-driven legal team.
