Global Immigration Pathways LLC is a boutique immigration law firm dedicated to advocating for immigrants, asylum seekers, and their families. They handle complex cases involving asylum, removal defense, motions to reopen, bond redeterminations, family-based petitions, and humanitarian relief.
Details of the Job/Internship
Global Immigration Pathways LLC is inviting law students to join their office remotely.
Role and Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, motions, and briefs for asylum and removal defense matters.
- Assist in preparing client declarations, witness statements, and country conditions reports.
- Participate in client intake interviews and consultations (under attorney supervision).
- Support case strategy development for individual hearings and asylum interviews.
- Review, organize, and prepare evidence for EOIR and USCIS filings.
- Contribute to hearing preparation, including drafting cross-examination and direct-examination questions.
- Collaborate with fellow interns on group projects and case analysis.
Eligibility
- Current law student (1L, 2L, 3L) or undergraduate student with an interest in law, human rights, or social justice.
- Strong legal research, writing, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to immigrant rights and social justice advocacy.
- Bilingual skills (Spanish, French, Hindi, Portuguese, etc.) are a plus, but not required.
