The Indian Lawyers Association (ILA) is a voluntary professional network of lawyers, judges, professors, and law students across India. Details of the Job/Internship
The Indian Lawyers Association is hiring a Legal Intern to join its team on a hybrid or remote basis in India. This internship involves supporting ILA’s leadership team and state chapters through coordination, administrative assistance, legal research, drafting, outreach, and participation in organisational activities and initiatives.
Role and Responsibilities
- Assist ILA’s leadership team and state chapters with coordination and administrative support.
- Support planning and execution of ILA events, programmes, and initiatives.
- Assist in drafting communications, reports, and basic legal or policy-related content.
- Support outreach activities and engagement with members, partners, and institutions.
- Contribute to expanding the ILA network by engaging with law students, legal professionals, institutions, and potential chapter members.
- Coordinate between different ILA chapters and support the formation and strengthening of chapters.
- Assist with legal research, documentation, and day-to-day organisational activities.
Eligibility
- Undergraduate law student pursuing BA LL.B, BBA LL.B, BCom LL.B, or an equivalent degree.
- Strong interest in the legal profession, justice reforms, and professional associations.
- Good legal research, drafting, and analytical skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to engage, connect, and network with peers and legal professionals.
- Self-motivated, responsible, and capable of working independently in a hybrid or remote environment.
- Familiarity with MS Office, Google Workspace, and basic digital tools.
